The professional beginnings of Carme Riera Domenech (Barcelona 1940) were linked to the textile design that marks her artistic career. From 1976 onwards, he left behind traditional techniques and embarked on a path of exploration with total freedom in the use of artistic procedures. Looking for all the possibilities offered by materials, objects, words, signs, the photographic image ... to offer us works that are nourished by the outside world and closer: the sea, the land, the landscape .. .
