Tina Modotti

Mexico

It is a selection of the anthological work of the photographer Tina Modotti, (Udine August 17, 1896 - Mexico City January 5, 1942) in which we can see how it reflects the social reality of a country -Mexic at the same time which shows his concern for the image to have aesthetic content.

This exhibition, organized with the collaboration of the Instituto de México en España ", is itinerant and has been exhibited prior to the Photogallery Railowsky Library in Valencia where it was presented in 1997, at the A.C. Elgoibar wastewater (Guipúzcoa), the Murcia Mestizo Room, the University of Amberes (Belgium), the Can Basté Photographic Center (Barcelona), the Tarazona Photography Festival, the Monjo Museum in Vilassar de Mar and lately at the headquarters of the "Instituto de México en España" to Madrid.

So far there were only two books on the work of Tina Modotti (one in Italy and the other in the USA), it was on the occasion of this exhibition that the first catalog of Tina Modotti was published in the State Spanish.
