El meu tatuatge és la terra

Guinovart

Museu Vida Rural + Fassina Balanyà de l'Espluga Francolí + Monestir Poblet

It is a production of the Museu de la Vida Rural de l’Espluga de Francolí of the Fundació Carulla in alliance with the Fundació Espai Guinovart, la Fassina Balanyàof l’Espluga de Francolí and the Monestir de Poblet..

Three different settings host Guinovart’s work of art (Museu Vida Rural, Fassina and Monestir de Poblet) and share with the artist the respect and careful observation of nature and a special relationship with the land. A land understood as territory but also as an essential part of human beings.

Through Guinovart’s work we learn about a rural memory transformed into art that tells us about the links between humanity and the earth. A journey where the values of sustainability are transmitted and which vindicates a rural world that disappears, perhaps, irreversibly.

The exhibition brings together the tools of the Museum itself with pieces by the artist that speak of the rural world and that are related to his personal experiences.

"My tattoo is the earth" recreates the universe that Guinovart discovered when he arrived in Agramunt, fleeing the war. Forks, sickles, threshers, eggs or wheat are elements that form the pictorial language of this artist who, far from representing reality, presents it with all its volumes and textures, thus turning a modest cloth harvested from the ground into a wonderful work. of art.
