The photographs of Humberto Rivas are of essential purity, in the motifs and forms. It portrays the landscapes as memory architectures, and faces as a mirror of what happened. The places resemble dehumanized perspectives and the phenomena transcend individuality. His language is epicentric, the man in the middle of his solitudes, without any other baggage than his skin, naked of attributes, furnished by building himself, subjected to elements, such as decreated walls, blind windows and the twisted doors, which outline spectral streets with a metaphysical look.

As a fabulator who recreates imaginary worlds, transcends writing where the camera fills images with words, without untying them from man and his primordial condition. Aware that aesthetics can not escape ethics, it has taken photography at the highest point in the expressive possibility, becoming one of the most solid authors of contemporary photography.
