Family Workshop "Let's Build a Maze"

We have to stay home. For this reason, at the Foundation we think it is a good time to enjoy creativity with the family. The educational service of the Guinovart Space offers you an activity to discover new works by Josep GUINOVART such as the "LABYRINTH".

The artist, in this work, explores the logic of the labyrinth as an enigma, as a game or as a representation of life and knowledge.

It is an activity to do indoors, to enjoy the whole family and to reflect. Once the confinement is lifted and life returns to the streets and squares, the Espai will open its doors to expose all the creations that we have received from home.

A small tribute that Espai wants to pay to the efforts of families in moments as difficult as those that we now have to live.

We propose you an artistic, imaginative, creative, mysterious and very exciting challenge:

"THE CONSTRUCTION OF A LABYRINTH"
Before we take action, namely:

What is a maze ???

Look for information on the chalk maze and the Guinovart maze, it will surely help you find inspiration and increase your knowledge.

Have you already done it? Well now we start !!!

The three steps in building your maze are:

STEP 1. DRAWING

We will draw the labyrinth taking into account that there is only a single entrance door, none of exit, but inside there can be a window, doors, paths, corridors, bridges, tunnels, traps, graves, volcanoes ...

STEP 2. MATERIALS

We have to look for any disused material that we have at home such as:

• Cardboards of all kinds to make the base of the maze, walls, doors, tunnels ...
• All kinds of containers, wrappers, caps, plastics, foams ...
• Woods, strange or shiny objects, broken toys, strange mechanisms, fabrics and twine to make curtains that hide surprises ...
• Material to paint, draw, cut and start.
• You can also create different textures on the floor or walls with sand, salt, rice ...

STEP 3 CONSTRUCTION

We give you absolute freedom to create your labyrinth. It can be an island, a city, a temple, a castle, a cave ...
