Paintings We are again in front of the work of Francesc Todó. Once again, we can delve into his personal world constituted by those objects that accompany him in his closest environment, especially in his studio represented by the artist more than once over the years, from where, day after day, he shapes his plastic territory, always serene, of great apparent transparency, but, in reality, so particularly intimate.

Todó's recent work, a product of his good work, and at the same time a consequence of his deep knowledge of techniques and materials, emerges in the middle of his constant work, like a step in a journey that comes from afar - we can go back - us at least to the machines of the last fifties - and which still has a long future.

Artist of still lifes, compositions made up of a small number of pieces that, however, acquire a different nuance each time, Todó - allow me to use a simile - embroiders or if you like it more, distills the his sensations and his reflections at the same time. All this, presided over by a meticulous execution, self-demanding of the painter himself to reach his personal plastic milestone, is the path that now allows us to approach the singular universe of Francesc Todó, freed from period guidelines and margin of forced imperatives.
